Terry Michael Agonath
Mar 15, 1943 - Jan 7, 2022 (Age 79)
Terry was a long-time member of Blue Knights IL‑X until that chapter disbanded in January 2016. Shortly afterward, Terry—along with Gil Farrow, Mac McCarthy, Bob “Doc” Barkin, Larry Bakanec, and Bill Walt—transferred to our chapter, WI‑XI, where he quickly became a valued and trusted brother.
Terry was a retired Lake County Deputy Sheriff, serving the Lake County Sheriff’s Department for 21 years, most recently in the warrant unit. His commitment to public service extended well beyond law enforcement. He was a member of the Emerald Society of Illinois for 20 years and served as Treasurer of the Emerald Society beginning in 2016.
Within the Blue Knights, Terry’s leadership and enthusiasm were felt for more than three decades. As both Road Captain and Director, he helped shape countless rides, events, and traditions. His presence brought energy, humor, and brotherhood to every gathering.
Terry’s contributions to WI‑XI and to the Blue Knights as a whole will always be remembered with gratitude and respect. Ride in peace, Brother.
